New trash bins using solar power

You may have noticed some nifty new trash bins along Seattle's Third Avenue. They collect and compact trash using solar power.
The 20 new solar-powered trash compactors will:
- Decrease the 14 trash collections per week down to twice a week.
- Reduce air pollution created by garbage trucks from fewer collections while keeping the streets of Seattle clean.
